Participation is an integral part of the learning process

Note to students and parents . . .
One of my goals as a teacher is to help students develop the four C's: Creativity, Critical thinking, Collaboration and Communication skills.
This is not always an easy or comfortable experience at times. Should anyone in this process get "bent out of shape" at some point, please contact me for a needed explanation.

Click on the class your student is taking to find out some of the happenings. Please e-mail me with any questions or concerns. Sometimes our school firewall blocks incoming mail. If you don't hear back from me within 24 to 36 hours, call and leave a message with the EHS office: 322-4810.

ISCI and Honors ISCI 9th Grade Spring 2012

Ecology Spring 2012

Grading information~
Assignments with a "m" (for missing) are marked with a temporary ZERO for a grade will be eligible for make up for just two weeks from the date due. After this grace period, the ZERO will become a permanent part of the semester grade record. During the months of December and May, the time frame goes to one week. The very last week of the semester ~there generally is no make-up.
Please note: while all class work is scored or measured in some fashion, not every assignment will appear in the grade book. In addition, some work will require a student to meet with the instructor to explain selective parts orally. Not being able to do so will constitute unsatisfactory progress and points will not be awarded. Reasoning for this: If you have done your own work and have mastery over the material, then verbalizing it should not be an issue.
