Students don't forget that there are many college classes offered that are TUITION FREE! You can go online and search BCC's site to see what is available. (Click on BCC, then Search for Classes. Status should be set for ALL and Schedule Type needs to be KS CTE Initiative. This will bring up ALL classes that qualify as "tuition free". Keep in mind you will need to pay for books and other class expenses). The class can be offered at any of the Butler campus's on any time and any day. Take advantage of this huge opportunity and sign up! See highlighted section below for enrollment info.

As always, there are scholarships waiting for each and every one of you. You just have to take the time to find them and fill them out. The G.O has information available. Take advantage of Mrs. Cooper and her expertise in the area of scholarships. If she is not here on the day you check in please let Cassie Morton know that you want to make an appointment for the next time she is in.

There are new scholarships EVERYDAY. Check back frequently to take advantage of what is available. Come in, even if I am not available and go through the scholarship box. Invite parents to come in and go through them with you!

I encourage all Juniors who have not taken the ACT to take it this fall. That way they get a baseline reading of where they stand and know what areas to work on as they look to take the test again. The website is www.actstudent.org and our school code is 170865.

ACT Test Dates:
Oct 27 deadline to register September 21
December 8 deadline to register November 9
February 9 deadline to register January 11
April 13 deadline to register March 8
June 8 deadline to register May 3

Go to www.actstudent.org to register. The EHS school code is 170865. If you receive free or reduced lunches through the district come see me for a fee waiver.
