    Week 22 - February 6-17

    2/6 - We will begin to do bellwork on edmoto.com this week. If you do not have an account or are having problems posting your answer, you will need to check here for the question and e-mail it to me. What was your favorite Super Bowl commercial?     Week 21 - January 30-February 3

    1/31 - When was your scientist born? Is there anything else that happened on that date in history (not necessarily the same year)?

    2/1 - What is one unusual fact you learned about your scientist?

    2/3 - Is your wanted poster the best possible work you could have done? (I want you to truly reflect on this and answer honestly.)

    10/27 - What do we call the part of the fault that lies above the fault angle?

    Week 9

    10/17 - Welcome to the beginning of the 2nd 9 weeks. What is the shaking and trembling that results from the movement of rock beneath Earth's surface?

    10/18 - If you were to build a house where there's a lot of earthquakes, what would you do to make it "earthquake proof" or at least earthquake resistant?

    10/19 - Another day, another question... What's the best book you've read this year? I'm counting the summer and the first 9 weeks only. I would have to say mine is 13 Reasons Why.

    Week 8

    10/10 - Now that we are gearing up for conferences, what do you need to do to prepare for the end of the 9 weeks (get work done, work on conference short)? Please keep in mind that there is after school homework center if you need to get caught up on missing work. After this week, I will NOT accept any assignments from this 9 weeks NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

    10/11 - Write at least two complete sentences about what you learned this chapter.

    10/12 - Next week, we are going to begin earthquakes. What do you already know about them?

    10/13 - What goals do you have for yourself for the next 9 weeks?

    Week 7

    10/3 - Name a piece of evidence you can think of for the theory of continental drift.

    10/4 - Who was the scientist that came up with sea-floor spreading? (note: it wasn't Einstein)

    10/5 - Name at least one difference between plate tectonics and continental drift.

    10/6 - No bellwork

    10/7 - What are the three types of plate boundaries?


    Week 6

    9/26 - Next up, we will be learning about plate tectonics. What do you already know about that? (you can use what you've learned from doing this project as well)

    9/27 - This weekend, I will be grading your projects. How do you think you did? What grade do you think you've earned?

    9/28 - Who was the scientist that came up with the theory of continental drift?

    9/29 - Where in the US can you find a transform boundary?

    9/30 - Name a location from yesterday's activity and what you found interesting there.

    Week 5

    9/19 - Which continents are you going to include in your project? Which tectonic plates?

    9/20 - How do you plan to label your project? (Attach labels/Paint them on, etc)

    9/21 - What do you have left to finish on your project? Make a list and consider it your to do list.

    9/22 - What do we call a boundary where the plates are moving AWAY from each other?

    9/23 - What would you like to see us do for future PROS parties?
