Second Grade News

Second graders enjoyed their first three trips to SPLASH at the YMCA. Three additional sessions will follow. It is helpful if girls with long hair fix their hair in ponytails and braids on those days.

Valentine’s Day is coming, so please remember to bring your valentines before Tuesday, February 14th. A list with the students’ names will be sent home.

Students should be bringing at least one library book home each evening. Please take the time to read and review the main idea, characters, setting, and details of the story each evening. It is a good idea to ask your child to retell the story in his/her own words, as this is how he/she will be tested.
