360E: Ceramics I/ 362E: Ceramics II
Prerequisite: 10,11,12 with passing grade in Introduction to 3-D Art

Ceramics I: You will perfect hand-building techniques (coil, slab, pinch), will explore various decorating techniques, and will learn to use the clay extruder and the potter’s wheel. The assigned projects will encourage problem-solving skills and creative thinking. Both functional and decorative art will be produced.
Ceramics II: This class is an extension of ceramics I. Both hand-building and wheel forming will be used in creating functional and decorative art. Advance Wheel-throwing techniques will be taught and you will be encouraged to explore new avenues for creativity in design.
