Cat family,
Our second spring football meeting for EMS 6th graders was Wednesday, April, 25th.
We reviewed the expectations of the program and the responsibilities that come with being an athlete at EMS.
I directed the players to this site and we spoke about the dates and times of the events below.
C.A.T.S, our 6 week off-season strength and agility program, will again be offered this summer from June 4-July 13 from 8 am to 9:15 am in the EMS gym for all athletes in any sport. I will send home flyers, post it below, and outside my classroom door with details. This program will also be beneficial to those playing summer sports such as baseball, softball, etc.
CAT Football Camp will be July 9-12 from 6-8:30 pm, the last week KSHSAA allows coaches to work with teams in the summer.
I will send out flyers, post it below, and outside my classroom door with details.
Information for the proper paperwork to participate in EMS football can be found on the EMS website under "Athletics".
Physicals for the 2012 season must be performed by a doctor or chiropractor after May 1 and handed in to me or the office asap.
(It would be helpful to have paperwork before the end of the school year so we can have it complete before the season starts.
Athletes will NOT be allowed to practice or play until the proper paperwork is received as per KSHSAA rules.)
The Fall Sports Parents Meeting has yet to be scheduled but look for it on the USD 490 2012-13 Activities Calendar. Please plan to attend the Fall Sports Parents Meeting with your athlete as important information will be handed out.
The Black & Gold Scrimmage will be August 24 at 5pm at Galen Blackmore Stadium.
Team/ individual pictures will be taken the evening of the Black & Gold Scrimmage.
Order forms will be sent home in advance and should be returned to Coach Olson.
The first day of practice will be August 13 at 3:30 pm. Players should report to the north locker room at Galen Blackmore Stadium.
